District 3 City Councilor Gabe Vasquez will host a district meeting to discuss public safety and the formation of a Bellamah/Nevada area neighborhood watch.
Residents of the Bellamah and Nevada neighborhoods and outlying areas are invited to attend a public forum to discuss issues related to public safety and property crime and to explore the formation of a neighborhood watch group in conjunction with the Las Cruces Police Department.
"It's clear we need more neighbors and families talking to each other as well as action on behalf of the City to help come up with solutions to make District 3 a safer place to live for individuals, families and children. This meeting is meant to foster conversation and take action to make our neighborhoods safer," Vasquez said.
The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Lynn Middle School, 950 S. Walnut St.
