Thomas Branigan Memorial Library


In the interest of public health and to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Thomas Branigan Memorial Library will be closing to the public effective March 17, 2020 and will remain closed until April 30,2020.  The Munson and Sage Branches will also remain closed.

The Library will provide some limited services over the phone such as library card sign-up, digital resource troubleshooting and reference, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. The Library will be waiving all late fees and fines. All Library items currently checked out have been automatically renewed. Books by Mail will also continue. Inter-Library Loan services are suspended. If you currently have an Inter-Library Loan book, please return it via the book drop by its due date. Patrons can still return items through the book drop at any time.

The Library has many digital resources, such as e-books, e-audiobooks, streaming music, digital magazines, databases and more, which patrons can visit from the comfort of their own home. If you don’t have a library card, you can call the Library and sign up for one over the phone during our service hours.

Library Cards

**Do you need a library card to access our digital services from home? Call us at 575-528-4000 or e-mail Library Administration and we can set you up with a card from home.**

A free library card is available to Dona Ana County, New Mexico residents with a valid photo ID with a current address, or a valid photo ID and a current proof of address, such as a utility bill or lease.  New Mexico residents who live outside of Dona Ana county can receive a free library card with a valid photo ID, current proof of address, and a library card from where they live.  Children and teens 17 years and under must have a parent or guardian sign their application for a card. Parents and guardians must have a library account in good standing in order to sign their child up for a card. A $5 replacement fee is charged if the card is lost, stolen or damaged beyond use.
