Keep Las Cruces Beautiful is gearing up for our annual Trek for Trash! Followed by Volunteer Celebration hosted by International House of Pancakes

o What: Trek for Trash neighborhood cleanup. With the support of Las Cruces volunteers we are looking to remove litter in local parks, schools, streets, and businesses.

o When: October 11th , 2008 8:00am - Noon Cleanup Noon – 1:00 p.m. Volunteer Celebration: Immediately following the cleanup all volunteers are invited to the free lunch hosted by International House of Pancakes served at the Dream Center, 1400 N. 6th Street.

o Where: Locations to be assigned around Las Cruces

o How can you help? We are asking for volunteers of all ages, all groups to lend a helping hand to beautify and cleanup Las Cruces in our annual Trek for Trash. Register now by calling, faxing, or mailing in the attached form to Keep Las Cruces Beautiful:Registration Form for Volunteers  

Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup, the nation's largest community improvement program, takes place annually from March 1 through May 31, involving an estimated 2.8 million volunteers and attendees.

THANKS to all our 2008 Great American Cleanup volunteers. The 2008 GAC involved 475 hardworking Las Cruces volunteers who donated more that 2365 hours to beautify and improve numerous areas of Las Cruces.

Volunteers collected nearly 16 tones of trash and abated several graffiti sites.

Great American Cleanup is one of the City's two major annual city wide cleanups.

KLCB works with numberous groups, neighborhood associations and community organizations to beautify and cleanup our neighborhoods during the summer. KLCB provides tools, trash pick up, gloves and trash bags for groups. Contact us for more information.
