Code Talker Presentation 2018

Judith Avila, co-author of “Code Talker,” the biography of New Mexican Chester Nez, will speak from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 22 at the Sage Café Community Center, 6121 Reynolds Drive.

Avila’s presentation will be in conjunction with The Friends of Thomas Branigan Memorial Library and The New Mexico Humanities Council. A branch of Branigan Library is at the Sage Café Community Center.

Chester Nez, who died in 2014, was one of the original 29 U.S. Marines who were Navajo Code Talkers during World War II. He collaborated with Avila to write the book, and copies will be sold at the event.
