“Chaos Collaboration” Teen Artwork Entries Due by Friday, Feb. 16, 2018
The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department Teen Programs reminds teen artists to submit their artwork by Friday, Feb. 16 for the third annual“Chaos Collaboration,” an art show with music performances for teens by teens.
To submit artwork, teen artists should take their work to Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell St., or they can call the center, 575/541-2455, to arrange to have their submissions picked up.
The art exhibit will be Feb. 23 and Feb. 24 in the Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center auditorium. An artist reception will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Feb. 23. The public is invited from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 24, to view the art, listen to live music, watch live screen printing and more. Artwork will also be available for sale.
“Chaos Collaboration” empowers teen artists to create artwork for exhibition, which showcases their skills and contribution to community culture. The yearly event also offers a fresh perspective to Las Cruces’ culture.
The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department’s Teen Programs provide social, recreational, athletic, and artistic opportunities for teens throughout the community.
