HUD Reviews CAPER 2017
As a grant recipient of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the City of Las Cruces is required to undergo an annual review of performance to the provisions of HUD and the National Affordable Housing Act. Each recipient must be in compliance with statutes and must be able to continue to implement and administer the programs for which assistance is received.
The City of Las Cruces received a letter from HUD, dated October 31, 2017, approving the City’s program year Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER).
The letter congratulated the City for its accomplishments during the past year and the City’s performance in the following areas:
- Overall Program Progress
- Overall Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Benefit
- CDBG Planning and Administration and Public Service Caps
- Providing Decent Housing
- Providing Suitable Living Environments
- Leveraging of Resources
- and Analysis of Implements
