Slow Art Day at the Museum of Art 2017

When people look slowly at a piece of art they make discoveries. The most important discovery they make is that they can see and experience art without expertise. It unlocks passion and creativity and helps to create more art lovers.

One day each year – April 8 in 2017 – people worldwide visit local museums and galleries to look at art slowly and share their experience. Simple by design, the goal is to focus on the art and the art of seeing.

On April 8, the Museum of Art, 491 N. Main St., is featuring the All-City High Schools’ Senior Show, on view through April 22.

Admission to the City of Las Cruces Museums are free. The museums are located on the downtown mall and are open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. For additional information, visit the website at: museums.las-cruces.org

If you need an accommodation for a disability to enable you to fully participate in this event, please contact the museum 48 hours prior to the event.
