Local Author and Environmentalist Shelley Armitage to Speak on the effects of Industrialism on the Natural Landscape 2017

The Las Cruces Museum of Art will be hosting local author and environmentalist Shelley Armitage to speak on the effects of industrialism on the natural landscape at 11 a.m. Saturday July 15.

Studies in photography, environmental literature, cultural and place studies have provided Armitage with a unique perspective as she explores physical and intellectual sensitivity to place. The lecture and discussion will highlight the current exhibition The New Romantic: Visions of the 21st Century Landscape.

The Museum of Art is located at 491 N. Main St. and is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
