Well 31 Ready for Service
These activities will begin 10 a.m. Well 31 will then be placed into service on Thursday, March 2nd at approximately 10 p.m. These actions could create discolored water for residents and businesses in the Isaacks Ln./Valley Dr. area from Hoagland Rd. to Tashiro Dr. and Alameda Blvd. to Motel Blvd., due to naturally occurring iron and manganese in the water. Although the water is safe to drink, the City recommends waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.
The affected areas include:
- Isaacks Lane to Tashiro Drive
- Alameda Avenue to Motel Boulevard
- Valley Drive
Any discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents and businesses should flush all cold water faucets for five minutes. If discoloration remains, call the City of Las Cruces at 526-0500 for assistance. The TTY number is 575/541-2182.
