Anything Goes Everythings Connected 2017
On Feb. 14, Lynn Moseley will present“Anything Goes – Everything’s Connected.”
Moseley has been quilting for more than 40 years, and has crafted several hundred quilts, which she gives as gifts, donates, and occasionally sells. She has created a wide variety of sizes, from tiny 7” hexagonal quilts, up to a 90” x 72” quilt, which will be on display during her presentation.
She is often inspired by patterns she sees in the world around her, and by the wonderful combination of colors found in nature. Her adaptation of standard quilt patterns has often resulted in unique designs. She enjoys creating something useful out of scraps, using many materials already on hand.
In 2016, her red and white hobo symbol themed quilt was used by the Railroad Museum for its holiday poster. Many of her quilts will be on display during her presentation.
The museum is located at 351 N. Mesilla St. and is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, visit the website at museums.las-cruces.org or call (575) 647-4480.
