Summer Rec Lottery

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will accept lottery registration applications from Monday, April 16, through Saturday, April 28 for two sessions of the Summer Recreation Program.

Applications can be submitted during regular business hours at:

Parks and Recreation Administrative Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave.;
Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 Bell St.;
Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave.;
and Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave.

Telephone registrations will not be accepted.

Enrollment in the summer program is determined by lottery selection only. Participants who are selected for a site will be notified Tuesday, May 8 by email or text message, and the winning lottery numbers will be posted at the four registration sites and at www.las-cruces.org/summer-recreation.

The cost to participate in the Summer Recreation Program is $200 per child for each session, but does not include fees associated with field trips. Payment must be made from Tuesday, May 8 until Saturday, May 19, at any of the four registration sites, during regular weekday business hours, or at www.las-cruces.org/play, and click on the “Online Registration” link.

Any unpaid spots will be opened to the public on Monday, May 21, on a first-come, first-served basis at the Parks and Recreation administrative office.

Session I of the summer recreation program will be from June 4 to June 29, and Session II will be from July 2 until August 3. Both sessions will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

The summer recreation program is available to children in kindergarten through the sixth grade. The program will be at: Camino Real Middle School, 2961 Roadrunner Parkway; Picacho Middle School, 1040 N. Motel Blvd.; and Zia Middle School, 1300 W. University Ave.
