About Shane Brisco

Day Shift is supervised by Lieutenant Shane Brisco who graduated from the 31st. LCPD Academy in 2000 and has been with the Las Cruces Police department ever since.

Career Progression

While serving as a patrol officer from August 2000 to May of 2007, Lieutenant Brisco was a field training officer and part-time instructor at the LCPD Academy. In January 2013 he was transferred to the Academy full time and served as the Training Director for three years before returning to patrol and being promoted to his current rank. Lieutenant Brisco is a master use of force and master defensive tactics instructor through the New Mexico Department of Public Safety. He has also served as the supervisor of the Hostage Negotiations Team since 2008.
