Senior Programs Advisory Board
The Senior Programs Advisory Board (SPAB) consists of seven members appointed by the mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council, and site members selected by Senior Programs participants as a representative of each senior program site and appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. There is one member from each of the six city districts, one member at large, and site representative members elected from the Benavidez, Eastside, Munson, Frank O'Brien Papen and Sage Café Centers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties of the SPAB include reviewing business and operation of the City's senior centers, assisting staff in review and development of policies & procedures, and recommending regulations to City Council when the need arises. The Board is also the final say on any code of conduct violations or grievances of seniors that are brought before its members.
The Advisory Board meets the 2nd Thursday of the each month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at each of the centers on a rotating basis. Click here to view the meeting schedule.
