“Putting People in Soil Food Webs”
Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 5:30PM
Soil and plant webs of microbial communities represent indispensable components of viable food systems relied upon to feed the growing population of planet Earth. At Science Café on March 29, Dr. Mary Lucero, Principal of End-O-Fite Enterprises LLC, will summarize her conclusions from studies focused on soil food networks. Learn how soil health proponents are collaborating to create cultural shifts needed to affirm humanity’s sustainable role within the microbial webs linking plants, soils, and humans. Explore the current social and cultural challenges faced by a global society when attempting to maintain its place within these webs.
