MURAL ARTS GRAPHIC

Mural Arts Program

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department offers a Mural Arts Program for local youth in grades 7–12, with all levels of artistic ability and who have a desire to transform their community. Participants will become part of a skilled team capable of producing high quality public art.

It is highly encouraged that participants have a willingness and desire to learn about large-scale composition and advance their awareness of the visual language. Projects will be mostly outdoors with some indoor studio time.

Mural Arts Program registration is open throughout the year. You may register at the Frank O’Brien Papen Center, 304 W. Bell Ave., Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The program meets 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every other Saturday and is currently limited to 15 participants at a time. Please contact us for next meeting day or for more information. This is a teen program and there is no cost to participate.
