Selection Advisory Committee

Section 24-61 of the Las Cruces Municipal Code establishes the Selection Advisory Committee (SAC).
- To develop and evaluate proposals for professional and technical service contracts in excess of $50K
- Recommend contract award to City Council
- Establish and maintain the regulations for selection of professional consulting contracts over $50K
The five permanent members are the department heads for Community Development, Finance, Public Works, Transportation, and Utilities.
For each request for proposal, there are three temporary members comprised of two representatives designated by the city manager with expertise in the type of professional/technical services sought, and a representative of the requesting department.
