OBJECTIVE: To streamline communication between local government agencies during the COVID-19 response. Partner organizations include city and county representatives, local hospitals, the Department of Health, jail and prison facilities, first responders, the Las Cruces Public School district, the Town of Mesilla, City of Anthony, City of Sunland Park and Village of Hatch.  

JIC members collaborate on a daily conference call at 10 a.m., Monday through Friday. The notes compiled during that call are made available at and  

Regional updates:  

City of Anthony 

Chief Vanessa Ordoñez, Anthony Police Dept.  

Oscar Dominguez, City Manager 

Chief Ordoñez, Anthony PD  operations going well; no exposures to date. One call for social distancing violation. PPE supplies adequate. If anyone in the community of Anthony needs masks, please call the Anthony Police Department: 575-882-2769.  

Oscar Dominguez, City Manager – Nothing new to update Friday, aside from same hours of operation in the main lobby. Business is by appointment only, except for early voting. Open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. until further notice.   

City of Sunland Park
