OBJECTIVE: To streamline communication between local government agencies during the COVID-19 response. Partner organizations include city and county representatives, local hospitals, the Department of Health, jail and prison facilities, first responders, the Las Cruces Public School district, City of Anthony, Sunland Park and Hatch.  

JIC members collaborate on a daily conference call at 10 a.m., Monday through Friday. The notes compiled during that call are made available at www.las-cruces.org and www.donaanacounty.org

As Hatch reported, specimen collection 85 tests being processed. At Community of Hope today where testing continues.  

Governor is scheduled to speak today at 3 p.m. Topic is unknown. DOH is expected to release updated numbers at 4 p.m. today. 

Luce (DAC): is it possible to release to the public where testing is happening on a regular basis. Tomorrow there will be two public test sites for essential workers. DOH has advertised to essential businesses to make them aware of the testing opportunity. If someone from the general public needs to be tested, they won’t be turned away.  

7 a.m. to 12 p.m. drive-thru testing at Public Health Office on Spruce/Solano.  

Capt. Schoen: is any additional testing planned for Sunland Park? How many times can someone be tested for COVID-19? Dave will report back but does not know of any limit. Essential workers can be tested as many times as necessary.
