Residents along a portion of Doña
Ana Road, from Richard Drive to 2105 Doña Ana Road, will experience a water
outage from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 11, 2020. Morrow Enterprises, Inc.,
under contract with the City of Las Cruces, will be connecting the new Karen
Avenue water line at Doña Ana Road.
Adjacent areas may also be
affected. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, crews will
post a door hanger notice a minimum of 48 hours in advance.
Once service is restored, residents
may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits.
Although the water is safe to drink, the City recommends waiting for the water
to become clear before washing laundry.
The discoloration should disappear
within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all faucets in their
house or business for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the City
of Las Cruces at 575/526-0500 for assistance.
