The Las Cruces Railroad Museum and the
Museum of Nature & Science will host an “Engineering Expo” at the Las
Cruces Railroad Museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22. The expo
will include hands-on activities and demonstrations for all ages. This is a
free, family event that is open to the public.
Explore the many areas of engineering:
mechanical, civil, aeronautical, electrical, and more. Investigate civil
engineering by designing a bridge that will support a model train. Act as a
chemical engineer and make your own slime. Design a simple circuit and discover
electrical engineering. Materials for all activities are provided (while
Las Cruces Railroad Museum is located at 351 N.
Mesilla Street and is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through
Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The museum is accessible from
